This is the cover of the newly published URBAN IRAN (Mark Batty, NYC). A1one, clearly a legend in the Middle East, is among the artists featured.

Jef Aerosol in Dumbo
'went into Dumbo mainly to seek out Jef Aerosol's recent work. This was the only piece that I could locate. It's wonderful. But I wonder what happened to the others.

Onesto in Bogota
I'm so glad Leonardo told me about this particular Onesto piece. I would have otherwise missed it last night in the dark!
Bogota Political Stencil Art
Susan tells me that in this context hp stands for "hijo de puta"! Clever!

Bogota Street Art Creatures
What an amazing array of creatures on the streets of Bogota! I have not seen anything like this in any other city.

Bogota Street Art
This piece is from a wall we visited earlier today. Each piece seemed freshly painted and each is interesting, vibrant and appealing. Susan thinks that the entire space -- which stretches for blocks -- was commissioned by Bogota's mayor.

Bogota Street Art's UbiquitousCharacter
I love the way Stinkfish's characters pop up everywhere -- especially in Bogota's most despairing neighborhoods.
Bogota Street Art
The walls of Bogota continue to enthrall. I love everything about this piece...its colors, its shapes, its flow.

Bogota Street Art
I love the juxtaposition of these stencils against this background. What a flow! And there`s a message here, as well.
Bogota Street Art/Characters
There are lots of wonderful characters on the walls in Bogota. These are among my favorite.

from Gringolandia @ Honey Space
There's always something interesting and off-beat happening at Honey Space (148 11th Avenue, between 21st and 22nd streets). This time the entire space was transformed by Mickey Western into a wacky space-age adventure that celebrates the outlaw spirit. It continues through 11/22.

Zak Smith @ Fredericks & Freiser
I discovered Zak Smith's zany graphics in a magazine that he and his friends self-published a number of years ago. Since, I've seen Zak's work in a number of venues including the 2004 Whitney Biennial. I passed this new exhibit of his work and collaborations by chance today and stopped in to see it. This piece is from a huge installation of dozens of graphics. Each one captivates.
Doze Green @ Jonathan LeVine
I'm so glad I got to see this exhibit of Doze Green's recent works before it closed. I loved his juxtaposition of forms, shapes, colors, notions, textures and materials. Each piece is a marvel.
