Brooklyn Bombs
Due to some all-too-common MTA mishaps last Thursday evening, I ended up at a Kings Highway stop in Brooklyn -- at least a mile from where I was headed. As a result, I discovered endless throw-ups and bombs I hadn't seen elsewhere. 'will have to return!

Lots of different styles of writing represented here -- including grapixo, the unique fusion of graffiti and Pixação.

Onesto in Sao Paulo
Checking out some of my daughter's photos, I'm finding so many images that I missed -- including this one by Onesto, one of my favorite artists anywhere!
Os Gemeos @ MAM
Sara and I came upon this Os Gemeos mural outside Sao Paulo's Museum of Modern Art. As always, the details are amazing and the entire effect is magical! Strange, though, that MAM's book store did not have a single book on street art!

Os Gemeos in Sao Paulo
After watching Os Gemeos craft a similar character in NYC last week, it was wonderful to come upon this -- unexpectedly -- in downtown Sao Paulo.
Sao Paulo Postal Sticker
This is the only US postal sticker I've spotted -- so far -- in Sao Paulo. It's stunning!

EXPO COLEX in Santos-Sao Paulo
This is a close-up from one of the many installations at the International Sticker Expo in Santos-Sao Paulo. I am so impressed by the quality, variety and magnitude of the stickers on exhibit. The installation was superb, as were the live combos.
Finok and Os Gemeos in Sao Paulo
I loved seeing Finok and Os Gemeos on their home turf. The last graf I saw by them was up in the Bronx!
TITI FREAK @ Choque Cultural
By chance my visit to Sao Paulo's Choque Cultural coincided with the opening of Titi Freak's solo exhibit. I loved his fusion of different techniques and styles. This piece is one of my favorites.

The Neverending MBW Extravaganza Still On
I stopped by MBW's Icons exhibit yesterday. Though it supposedly ends at the end of this month, it's beginning to feel like a permanent Meatpacking District installation. Anyway -- once again there are endless new variations on the same themes and lots of folks passing through. I know MBW's "playing" us, but I'm still intrigued by it all!

OD, Martha Cooper and Futura
While checking out the progress of the Os Gemeos mural on West 21st Street, I met two graffiti legends -- Martha Cooper and Futura -- and one future legend -- the wonderfully talented Owen Dippie aka OD visiting from New Zealand.

Chris Stain in Beacon, NY
'rode the Metro North -- for the first time in years -- up to Beacon, NY yesterday to check out Whisper at work on his upcoming exhibit "Four Ever." While there, I walked some distance over to the the space at 510 Main Street to view the outdoor Electric Walls exhibit. Much of it didn't work for me -- as many of the pieces lost the spirit of street art. They looked far too manufactured for the particular space. But the Chris Stain pieces across the street are stunning. They, alone, were worth the trek up there.

In the Bronx
There's always something amazing going on in the back space at Tuff City. Sometimes I'm lucky enough to see writers in action. Today I didn't come upon anyone painting, but I did see some stunning pieces -- including this one.

Michael Anderson Sticker Installation
'walked by the ACE Hotel to check out both the Shepard Fairey and the Mint & Serf murals -- both still looking good -- though somewhat ravaged. The biggest surprise, though, was in the hotel's lobby -- an amazing sticker installation by Michael Anderson. According to the info a woman at the desk gave me, Anderson is an artist/designer (and more) who has collected over 40,000 graffiti stickers! Among the stickers on exhibit are some real classics like Twist, Obey and ESPO, The Ace is at 20 West 29th St.

NYC Stickers
I've been coming upon so many cool hand-made postal stickers in mid-town these past few days. I guess this is the right time of year for this!
