Lenny found a bunch of amazing walls in Bushwick earlier this week. Wow -- so old school graffiti is more than alive and well right here in NYC! And so stunning--

JR on Bowery and Houston
So Kenny Scharf's colorful cartoonish mural has been replaced by a rather staid JR piece. I'm not sure how I feel about it. I was astounded by JR's photos of Israelis and Palestinians that I saw along the separation wall outside Bethlehem. And the photos of his work in Brazil are amazing. Maybe I'm missing something here, but it's not really working for me.

Freight Train Spotted in the South Bronx
'did not expect to come upon this while walking from the Point on Garrison to the #6 train at Hunts Point Station. Just as I was getting ready to document about a dozen of them, they continued on their route. 'glad I got this one.

In the East Village
I think these adorable kids thought we were trying to photograph them -- rather than the door (a reasonable assumption.) And so they danced for us for about 10 minutes before we moved on!

KR.ONE @ L.I.C.K Gallery
I love these! It's about the closest I can get to "old skool" graf these days.

Another Brooklyn Wall Captured by Lenny Collado
Lenny's got the graffiti-hunting bug. He's been finding hundreds of first-rate tags and bombs in Bushwick and beyond -- that will take me days to check out. But the walls that he's getting are just fun -- like this one by Shiro.
