I had never paid much attention to tags and throw-ups. I suppose I always felt that they give graf a "bad name." I'd been noticing so many, though, in my students' black books that I've started to look at them more carefully in the streets. On and off Jerome Avenue in the Bronx, they seem to be everywhere -- on roof tops, behind bushes and on all types of buildings and homes.
